Through large scale, professional standard production studios and workshops, and edit suites loaded with the very latest production software – students develop a practical skillset which incorporates all aspects of the film-making craft, as well as engaging with emerging storytelling mediums such as web series, podcasts, VR commercials and music video. Our key aim is to help students find and develop unique stories and interesting content then express these effectively though cinematic forms.

We encourage our degree students to fully explore a wide range of visual content – developing their individual style and artistic voice.

By combining the production with an understanding of the historical and cultural aspects of the genre – this allows students to compare and contrast Western influences with Chinese and East Asian styles and approaches.
