HBU-UCLan School of Media, Communication and Creative Industries is jointly organised by Hebei University and the University of Lancashire. Located in Building C5 on Qiyi Road Campus of Hebei University, Baoding City, the school was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2013 as the first Chinese-foreign cooperative education institution in Hebei Province, and the only one in Hebei Province that covers both undergraduate and postgraduate education.
The college provides undergraduate and postgraduate education and has 908 students. Approved by the Ministry of Education, the college offers six undergraduate majors, including: Media and Ty Production, Advertising, Film Making, Graphic Design, Interior Design and Animation. The programmes adopt the 4+0 training mode, with planned enrolment dual registration of Hebei University and the University of Lancashire, and dual bachelor's degree awarding. In September 2014, the first undergraduate students were enrolled in the programme.
In April 2021, the College was approved by the Ministry of Education to set up three additional Chinese-foreign co-operation programmes at master's degree level, including: TV Production, Interior Design, and Music Industry Management and Promotion. The programmes adopt 3+0 cultivation mode, with planned enrolment, dual registration of Hebei University and the University of Lancashire, and dual master's degree awarding, and in September 2022 the first master's degree students were enrolled.
