Our award-winning Animation degree course covers stop-motion, 2D animation and 3D digital animation. These techniques help students develop the practical skills and technical expertise they need to create animated films using a range of both traditional and also state of the art digital techniques.

Our animation course encourages creative thinking and self-expression. This is accompanied by exposure to good technical knowledge of current industry practices. Based on a platform of drawing and visual skills, students learn skills in scriptwriting, character design, storyboarding, animating and VFX. In addition they also develop experience in compositing, editing and sound design. Creative model making is a particularly strong feature of this programme.

The programme is delivered by an international team of practicing professionals, who bring the latest trends and influences to bear on their teaching content.
