Hebei University-UCLan School of Media and Creativity Holds 2025 Graduation Ceremony and Dual Degree Conferment
On the morning of June 20, the 2025 Graduation Ceremony also as Dual Degree Conferment of HBU-UCLan School of Media, Communication and Creativity Industries was grandly held at the Handan Concert Hall on Qiyi Road Campus. A total of 173 undergraduate students and 15 postgraduate students successfully completed their studies, embarking from campus to serve the nation. The ceremony was witnessed by Liu Xiuling, Standing Committee Member of Hebei University Party Committee and Vice President; Peter Lloyd, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Media at the University of Central Lancashire; Xing Huibin, Director of Hebei University's International Cooperation Office; the School's leadership team; representatives of Chinese and international faculty; and over 400 graduates and parents. The ceremony was presided over by Lv Yi, Dean of the School.
In her speech, Liu Xiuling, Standing Committee Member of Hebei University Party Committee and Vice President, congratulated all graduates on their successful completion of studies on behalf of the university. She expressed gratitude to the dedicated Chinese and international faculty and staff, as well as the supportive parents. She encouraged graduates to remain true to their original aspirations and bravely shoulder the mission of the times; to pursue lifelong learning and continuous self-improvement; and to follow their passions and chase their dreams courageously. She wished the students a bright future filled with success.
Fu Hongyan, Vice Dean of the School, announced Hebei University's decisions on conferring bachelor's and master's degrees. Liu Xiuling presented certificates and conferred Hebei University degrees to all graduates.
Sion Hughes, foreign Vice Dean/Academic Director of school, announced the University of Central Lancashire's decisions on conferring bachelor's and master's degrees. Peter Lloyd presented certificates and conferred UCLan degrees to all graduates.
Attending leaders jointly presented certificates and trophies to 62 students who received First Class Honors from the UK side and were recognized as Outstanding Graduates of Hebei Province.
Zhang Bole, an Advertising student, and Yu Liu, an Animation faculty member, delivered speeches as representatives of graduates and teachers, respectively.
Dean Lv Yi affectionately advised graduates to love the Party and the motherland, embrace compassion, remain steadfast in the face of challenges, and stay true to their convictions. She wished the students fulfillment of their aspirations, smooth journeys ahead, and boundless opportunities.
Peter Lloyd, Dean of UCLan's Faculty of Arts and Media, congratulated the School's first cohort of postgraduate students on their graduation, marking a significant milestone in the School's postgraduate education. He also expressed deep gratitude to the faculty and staff of both universities for their dedication and to the families and friends who supported the students' development.
As the summer breeze swept across Kunyu Lake and graduation songs heralded the parting moment, faculty advisors and graduate representatives jointly performed the song "Setting Out Again," blessing the students as they embark on new journeys with hopes for the future.
