On April 14, a delegation lead by Dean lv Yi, Vice Dean/Academic Director Sion Hughes, Hebei University International College Vice Dean Gao Xuesheng, HBU-UCLan Teaching and Research Secretary Wang Congcong, and Office Director Zhao Hanxi, conducted an investigation and exchange visit at the Hangzhou HDU-ITMO Joint Institute. HDU-ITMO Joint Institute Party Secretary Hu Haibin, Dean Wang Jian, Vice Dean Fan Jin, Deputy Party Secretary and Discipline Inspection Commission Secretary Ye Hong, Academic Vice Dean Tian Xiaoqing, and Office Director Shou Xin, among others, participated in the symposium.

The two institutions engaged in comprehensive exchanges regarding student support systems, innovative approaches to pedagogical reform, best practices for student exchange programs, management frameworks for international faculty, and models for international research collaboration. Subsequently, the delegation toured the Joint Institute's graduate research laboratories, international scholar workstations, academic affairs office, administrative offices, and talent development center.

As one of Zhejiang Province's first two high-level Sino-foreign cooperative education institutions established under the provincial higher education enhancement initiative, HDU-ITMO Joint Institute was jointly elected with HBU-UClan as co-chair units of the Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Consortium and has been recognized as an exemplary case of Sino-foreign educational collaboration in Zhejiang.

On April 15, the delegation proceeded to Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) to investigate innovative models for advancing the quality of Sino-foreign cooperative education. Founded in 2006 through ministerial approval as a collaboration between Xi'an Jiaotong University and the University of Liverpool, XJTLU currently represents China's largest Sino-foreign cooperative university. The delegation held working sessions with XJTLU Chief Ecosystem Officer Stuart Perrin, International Office Director Kirsty Mattinson, HR Talent Development Manager Wang Pei, Student Development Advisor Supervisor Zhang Qiaodi from the School of Film and Creative Technologies, International Office Deputy Director Ge Jianping, Global Mobility Program Coordinator Chen Yiyuan, and Student Development Advisor Zhou Xinyue.

The discussions yielded valuable insights into XJTLU's comprehensive student support system, cutting-edge teaching innovations, and AI education integration strategies, providing substantive reference points for our school's educational reform initiatives. Both parties affirmed their commitment to strengthening collaboration, aligning development objectives, and establishing new benchmarks for excellence in Sino-foreign cooperative education. This investigative visit has generated strategic perspectives for enhancing our talent cultivation paradigm and expanding internationalised educational frameworks.
