From August 18th to 22nd, the The Capital Series: lnternational Masterclasses was grandly held at the Beijing Century Jinyuan Concert Hall. In addition to Dean Lv Yi, the master class activities featured numerous music masters including Chen Yinduo, doctoral supervisor at the Central Conservatory of Music Piano Department and renowned pianist; Wang Chun, doctoral supervisor at the Central Conservatory of Music Piano Department and renowned pianist; Yuan Jie, Vice President of Harbin Conservatory of Music, Doctor of Piano Performance from The Juilliard School, judge for important international and domestic competitions, and renowned pianist; Xian Xiuyan, pianist and external master's supervisor at HBU-UCLan School of Media, Communication and Creative Industries; Kim Young-bae, Professor at South Korea's Chu-gye University for the Arts and former Director of Seoul National Art Center; Wu Huaishi, London Philharmonic Orchestra scholarship conductor and assistant conductor of the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra; Wang Tianyang, Associate Professor at the Central Conservatory of Music Piano Department; and Zhou Yan, Deputy Director of the Sichuan Conservatory of Music Piano Department and master's supervisor. These distinguished guests respectively held piano concerts, master classes, and special lectures, presenting an exceptionally brilliant music feast for the audience.

Professor Lv Yi delivered a lecture titled "What is the Essence of Piano Education," providing an in-depth analysis of the nature of piano education for the audience. From three dimensions - understanding the piano, understanding music, and understanding oneself - she helped the audience recognize that the piano is not merely an instrument for producing sound, but an artistic crystallization that carries musical culture and history, and that the essence of piano education is artistic quality education. She introduced the "past and present life" of the piano to the audience, its structure and evolutionary development, the functions of music, and how to learn piano and music well, among other topics. Professor Lv Yi encouraged everyone to always remember their original intention in learning piano, and through this important medium, to love music, love life, enjoy life, and appreciate beauty.
