On March 20,a delegation ofZhao GengVicePresidentof Hebei University of Science and Technology, along with Yan Cuiying, Director of the International Cooperation Office and Dean of the International Education College, visitedHBU-UCLan School of Media, Communication and Creative IndustriesFOR researchexchange. They were received by Liu Xiuling, Vice President of Hebei University, and LvYi, Dean ofHBU-UCLan. Xing Huibin, Director of Hebei University's International Cooperation Office, Sion Hughes,ViceDeanand other relevant personnelof HBU-UCLanaccompaniedvisiting.

Liu Xiuling welcomed the visit by Zhao Geng and his delegation, expressing hope that the two universities would strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the future, learn from each other in teaching and research, share resources, and pursue common development. Dean Lvintroduced the school's educational philosophy, faculty development, facilities, and achievements in Sino-foreign cooperative education, sharing specific measures taken by the school to "tell China's stories well and spread China's voice." The delegation from Hebei University of Science and Technology alsovisitedthe school's specialized practical teaching venues, including the model workshop, virtual studio, and live-action filming set.

Leaders of both universities unanimously agreed to fully leverage their respective advantages, work together to explore new models and approaches for Sino-foreign cooperative education, and contribute to cultivating more high-quality talents with global perspectives and enhancing the international development of higher education.

Hebei University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with Federation University of Australia, established the Federation University Information Engineering Institute. Approved by the Ministry of Education in 2019, this is a Sino-foreign cooperative education institution without independent legal status, jointly founded by Hebei University of Science and Technology and Federation University of Australia. It is the first Sino-foreign cooperative education institution in science and engineering disciplines among provincial universities in Hebei Province.
