On October 15-16, the 2025 Sino-UK Cooperative Education Institutions Alliance Annual Conference and Symposium was successfully held at Queen Mary School, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. Representatives from 50 Sino-UK cooperative education institutions across China, totaling over 200 university representatives, gathered to conduct in-depth discussions on the high-quality innovative development of Sino-UK cooperative education. Lv Yi, Dean of our school, attended as a special guest and delivered a keynote speech.
Li Hai, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of the Ministry of Education; Yang Jun, Secretary-General of the China Education Association for International Exchange; and Nick Thomas, Minister Counselor of Cultural and Education Section at the British Embassy in China, attended the meeting and delivered addresses. The conference focused on high-quality development of cooperative education, covering topics such as talent cultivation and scientific research cooperation, establishing an effective platform for exchange and collaboration among Sino-UK cooperative universities.

Dean Lv Yi's speech shared insights regarding opportunities and challenges in Sino-UK cooperative education, successful experiences in cooperative education, mechanisms and methods, how to effectively enhance institutional reputation, and effective approaches in governance and quality assurance, communication and coordination. She emphasized that Sino-foreign cooperative education should directly address challenges such as cross-cultural integration, articulation of evaluation systems, and the selection and adjustment of disciplines and majors. She advocated promoting resource sharing and the internationalization of talent cultivation, while strengthening faculty development, optimizing curriculum systems, implementing strict quality monitoring, enhancing teaching and research cooperation, steadily improving education quality, and advancing educational internationalization through high-quality Sino-foreign cooperative education.

This annual conference has solidified a robust foundation for continuously deepening the substantive development of Sino-UK cooperative education, building consensus on international education, and establishing bridges for connecting with global high-quality educational resources.
